| "BaculoDirect™ Baculovirus Expression System uses a quick, 1 hour Gateway® recombination reaction to produce the necessary bacmid for transfection. The engineered BaculoDirect™ linear DNA contains attR sites for recombination of your gene of interest cloned into a Gateway® Entry clone. BaculoDirect™ was constructed by homologous recombination between wild type Autographa californica multiple nuclear polyhedrosis virus (AcMNPV) DNA and a transfer plasmid containing a Gateway® cassette. After recombination, the Gateway® cassette replaces the native polyhedrin gene resulting in β-galactosidase positive, polyhedra negative recombinant virus.The modified baculovirus genome is linearized at the Bsu36 I site located at the 5΄ end of the lacZ gene. | |
