| First generation adenovirus vector. β-galactosidase / LacZ recombinant adenovirus. The viral backbone is E1/E3 deletion, replication deficient, serotype 5 adenovirus. This viral backbone is an Ad5 subtype delta L327, lacking XbaI fragment of 1.89 kb deleting almost all of the E3 region from 28593-30471 (79 to 85 Map units). The backbone is also E1 deleted. The E1a and E1b deleted region is from 358 - 3332. These numbers are based on Ad5 wt sequence. The protein produced by the vector is a fusion protein between the Sh protein (phleomycin/zeocin resistance protein) and the lacZ protein. The Sh protein is in N-terminal part of b-galactosidase. Amino acid 1 to 8 of lacZ are missing in the fusion protein. | |
